The First 72+ is a re-entry housing project that enables a holistic transition for individuals exiting the prison system in New Orleans. Finding stable housing is one of the biggest challenges faced by formerly incarcerated individuals re-entering the community. For this project, the housing component that we developed builds on the existing program of the organization, which seeks to foster independence and self-sustainability through education, stable employment, health care, and community engagement.
