SOUTHERN FOOD AND BEVERAGE MUSEUM

A new home for an internationally acclaimed museum devoted to southern foods. The development includes approximately 15,000 SF of exhibit space with an in-house restaurant and state of the art kitchen theater. The project is an adaptive reuse of one side of the historic Dryades Market, one of many public markets throughout the City that were auctioned off in the 1950s. From that time to now it functioned as a discount clothing store serving the depressed OC Haley corridor. SoFAB’s entrance into the neighborhood, along with many other prominent new commercial residents, assists in the renewal of this once vibrant corridor.
