The 728 Eleonore House is an expansion of an existing shotgun located in the uptown neighborhood of New Orleans. Eschewing the traditional “camelback” approach to additive space for this historic typology, the project instead seeks to create a sectionally complex addition. The appendage, in this case, reforms the relationship between the historic and new, while developing new spatial and visual relationships on site and with the surrounding neighborhood.
